Jurien Bay is renowned for it's fishing, rock lobsters and beautiful protected beaches. Boat hire, diving and fishing charters available with several accommodation options including Motel, Holiday Units and Caravan Parks. Jurien Bay is in close proximity to the Lesuer National Park which is an important area for the conservation of flora in Western Australia. Jurien Bay is the largest town on the Turquoise Coast (Guilderton in the south to Leeman in the north) which boasts the tourist slogan 'Bush & Beach within your Reach'.
Review of Jurien Bay by Akerz, 9th July 2007We stayed in the Jurien Bay Tourist Park for a couple of days while we continued to sort out ourselves, the Akervan and the website. Across the road from the Tourist Park is a hand hardware store with everything you need including gas refills and power cables. The town has everything you would need including a Post Office, Bank & Agencies, Doctor, Pharmacy, Dentist, Vet, Police Station, Supermarkets, Bakery, Butcher, Restaurants etc. Things to do in Jurien Bay include swimming, sailboarding, fishing, diving, bowling, golfing and four wheel driving. Jurien Bay Events: Annual 'Blessing of the Fleet' and Marine Expo (October/November), Bowling Club Tournaments (October to April), Central West Coast Bowling Carnival (end of April).
