Not an easy name to remember, not for us anyway. Not quite the shortest name either. And no, there wasn't any tigers on the menu as the Bengal instead refers to a region of east India. There wasn't quite a garden either but I sat down in a cosy corner spot next to a plant and ended up with it's leaves gently massaging by beautifully styled hair.

Broome was originally founded in the 1880s as a port for the pearling industry and is now one of the top holiday destinations in Australia. 80 Mile Beach is a secluded Caravan Park located 245km north of Port Hedland or 365km south of Broome. A nice spot to get away from it all, particularly if you want to break up the drive from Port Hedland to Broome. The Caravan Park is a friendly small community located a stones throw from the beach with 150 shady sites, power, water and a small deli. Along with every other town in the region, Port Hedland claims to be your 'Gateway to Karijini'. If this was the case, Karijini should perhaps label itself as your 'Escape from Port Hedland'. Port Hedland is of course a major mining port and a tourist brochure from the local bureau there pronounces that the town is Oresome.
